Three rules
Rule ① One per row and column
Each row and each column may contain exactly one cat. No two cats share a row or column.
Rule ② One per color region
Each of the N color regions must contain exactly one cat.
Rule ③ No adjacency, including diagonals
Two cats may not be adjacent in any direction — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. All 8 cells surrounding a cat are off-limits.
